Junilla’s experience is diverse and includes handling a variety of matters from high volume, multi-party litigation to complex corporate transactions to straightforward contract reviews.  Junilla grew up in New Mexico, and after graduating magna cum laude from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with a degree in criminology, she attended law school at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida.  Junilla earned a seat on the distinguished University of Miami Law Review, graduated magna cum laude, and spent several years defending high-profile medical malpractice and insurance defense claims at a prestigious South Florida law firm.  She later worked as a solo practitioner before relocating to Chicago for her husband’s job. In Chicago, Junilla joined a regional boutique law firm where she handled a variety of litigation, real estate and commercial finance matters. 

 

Junilla founded Kershner Sledziewski Law in 2017 and enjoys the dynamic dual role of entrepreneur and facing the exciting challenges of practicing law each day in several different practice areas.  She is a certified Pilates instructor, avid traveler, a member of the Union League Club of Chicago and the Professional Women’s Club of Chicago.  Junilla is an “Of Counsel” attorney to Jackson, LLP and Bricker Graydon, LLP.
